The King of Spades – What is Self-Mastery?

The King of Spades. He is the King of Kings –and this card epitomizes Self-Mastery – which is what we are all striving for, right?

What is this self-mastery that the King of Spades teaches us? King_spades

When I posted the channeled session about What is Living as a Multidimensional Being? I wondered what card epitomized living fully as a multidimensional being.

It is truly the King of Spades. the highest card in the deck – the card we are working towards becoming in how we live.

This card sits at the intersection of the Sun and Saturn in the Earth Spread.

At first glance, this can seem confusing (at least it did to me) because Saturn is the planet of restrictions, self-discipline, challenges, limitations and Father Time. It is also considered the planet of Karma.

It is the planet with a ring around it. I call it the putting-us-in-a-time-out-box planet. It is like that awful P.E. teacher that made us run sand hills and the bleachers until our lungs and legs burst into fire and disintegrated before our very eyes.

Now, I get why we need challenges. The running of those sand hills created toned, lean, strong legs several months later. We benefitted from it and once we got through it, we could look back and thank that P.E. teacher and those sand hills.

But, I still didn’t get why the King of Spades sat in that position.

Let’s look at what Self-Mastery is all about:

  • Mastery is a state of alertness and clarity in the moment.
  • It is a state of awareness that gives you freedom to move spontaneously, able to respond to what is needed in the moment.
  • It is NOT a function due to a static body of knowledge.
  • It is active, conscious awareness of the moment
  • It is being ready for masterful action because of confidence, conviction and a knowing of the appropriate (notice I didn’t say “right”) thing to DO in the moment, without hesitation.
  • It is living in a state of being present – of having a presence; presence of mind and being.
  • This presence is powerful, charismatic, magnetic and commanding.
  • It is being a powerful leader who leads through their unique perspective (they know the importance of expressing their perspective, but to also be open to the perspectives of others.)

Because of the above qualities, they draw to themselves the resources, circumstances and people that allows them to reach their goals.

They know that no matter what is occurring; whatever is showing itself – people, ideas, attitudes, unexpected situations and changing circumstances- that they will maintain a state of equanimity. (A state of calm, level-headed, unperturbed awareness)

He knows that every single view, thing and person has value.

He knows that there is no need to resist situations. (this is not about living with zero discernment or thinking that everything that is going on is OK – it is about realizing that because we are of the Whole, everything and everyone is THEM.)

He views life from the whole; he examines it from the whole; he allows for all of it.

He knows that every situation could be the catalyst for a solution or innovation.

The King of spades is the King of Kings. It is the last card in the suit of spades- the last suit.

Spades are the culmination of all. The suit represents our challenges and experiences that help make us wise. It represents our work, our health and our spiritual life.

If you think about those areas of our life, it pretty much sums up everything. Our work affects our health and happiness.

Our health affects our work and happiness.

Our spiritual beliefs affect our health and work and happiness.

The King of Spades represents living from the realm of Infinite Possibility.

This is why we strive to live with self-mastery. It puts us in this position of living opened to solutions and surprises that are beyond our immediate view.

Back to his placement of Saturn and the Sun.

The Sun represents our life force. It is consciousness and creativity. It is aware and it creates. It is what creates life.

If Saturn is the hard task-master, then it is those situations that make us uncomfortable. It is those viewpoints, ideas, people and situations that, when viewed from this higher place, create the better solutions and reveal beneficial possibility.

Saturn is the 5th planet. The astrological glyph looks like a 5. Five is the number of change, of uncertainty and exploring new ideas and ways of being.

We cannot expand our consciousness if we never experience other perspectives.

The number five tells us to be open to change.

The King of Spades has the ability to be open to the idea that anything that shows up is valuable even when we disagree with it because it is likely to be a contributing factor in the result we want to produce, particularly when the result we are after is unprecedented.  Evolution and expansion can only happen when we go beyond what already is.

The essence of life is uncertainty and unpredictability. This self-mastery of the King of Spades is the ability to read the uncertainty and use it.

Imagine this: Being open to any possible occurrence, any idea, any belief or situation as integral to the process that will bring about your desired result.

How would your life be different?

How Can The Seven of Spades Help Us Live Our Multidimensionality?

How can the 7♠ help us  live our multidimensionality?

This week’s card is the 7 of Spades. It is the card of Faith and Trust. It can mean that we might be going through some difficulties, stress or an inner struggle that helps us grow. Of course, stress and difficulties can result in an illness because our body holds what we’ve yet to process. Stress lowers our immune system and we catch colds, have allergy attacks or sometimes worse.

trust_7spades

Think about how your life is a particular way because of a belief you hold. Let’s use the example of believing in aging and that you start going downhill after age 30.

Due to that belief, you seem to have more aches and pains than others your age. You find gray hairs early. You get tired more often. You seem to no longer enjoy life or things fall into a very boring rut.

Then due to a variety of things, you realize that belief doesn’t serve you well and you change it. You let go of that belief and you take on the new belief that YOU are in complete control of how your body ages and that you don’t have to assign any particular age as any particular way of being.

Suddenly, your life changes. You feel younger. You find things to do that make you happy. You have more energy. You create a list of all the things you want to accomplish and you set out to do them. You stop cringing at birthdays and your friends notice how much younger you look.

THAT change in you, in your life, in your experiences is a new version of you. It actually changes some of your cells, it can affect how you look, feel and think. You are different. There is a new version of you. It sets up a new reality for you to live in.

You now have a new focused frequency!

Because time isn’t linear, the old you still exists. There is that version of you – the one aging quickly and not enjoying life – that still exists. And there is the new you. A new you simply because you changed a belief.

Because of the new belief, new people, experiences and feelings will now flow into your life. You are now heading in a new direction in your life.

Several things can happen now – and this is where the “trust” of the 7♠ comes into play.

You are eating differently now. You are out enjoying life now. Then, suddenly, something happens that scares you or makes you think your change is bogus (like losing friends because of it).

At that point you have to make a choice. You can’t have one foot on the dock and another foot on the boat. You are either all in the new way, or you go back to the old way.

Trust is an energy and we place that energy on things and beliefs. A child easily places their trust – all of it- on what they believe is possible. But, as adults, we tend to start rationalizing things and we wavier or split our trust energy up, hoping to hedge our bets.

Now you have split and dissipated energy. Your trust is no longer at 100% on the new belief that you are in control of your aging. It is like you took that new wide open door that Source was flowing new things to you through and you shut it part way.

What you have done is dissipated your own power.

100% trust and faith is 100% of your power to have what you truly want.

If you have had any type of religious background, faith and trust might mean that you have to believe in a God and that you just go through life blindly – following the will of that Higher Power. That can feel unsure because how can we know the will of said Higher Power? At that point, we hand over our power and while we might be told that we are living with blind faith, we are actually denying our birthright power to live who we are.

The Faith & Trust that the 7♠ speaks to us about is the 100% power that comes with 100% trust in a belief.

A belief is only as strong as the amount of trust energy we place in it. When we fully trust in a belief, it is very powerful and can change our lives.

100% trust equals 100% power.

Powerful people place their trust energy fully in what they believe in, directing that energy into what they believe is possible and to what they want – increasing their ability to manifest.

You choose a new reality – a new you- when you place your trust 100% on a belief about yourself and life. That 100% trust opens a door that allows a new reality to happen for you. A new dimension of you is born. That trust energy is not bound to just the physical. It is now part of your consciousness and it reaches beyond the limits of time and space.

This way of being – this ability to choose a new you and to have that reach beyond time and space is living as a multidimensional being. You have the power to make a choice – to choose what focused frequency you want to live at any moment.

Let’s go back now to the 7♠ card. In a forecast, it can speak to a possible struggle, an illness, stress or an event that challenges our faith and trust in something. (A belief.)

Seven’s always speak to “spiritual challenges,” BUT – what it is challenging or what it is helping to show us is a belief that might not be serving us, or is blocking us from what we really want in life. How this plays out is filtered by the planetary period the 7 card is in.

Using the example again of the belief in aging – let’s say that that person had the 7♠ in their Saturn period. Their belief in aging is suddenly highlighted due to their unhealthy lifestyle habits – let’s say they have been holding onto negative thoughts about themselves for a long time – such as I’m too old now to have fun or I have too many responsibilities to enjoy life. These thoughts have manifested as an illness and a lot of stress at work. They eat on the run and only processed food, ignoring any indication that their body gives them about needing real nutrients to thrive. Let’s say they end up with severe chest pain and they have to go to the hospital and have tests run for several days. They are finally forced to do something about their unhealthy lifestyle (which resulted from their belief in aging fast and no longer being able to enjoy their life.)

This becomes a challenge that presents an opportunity. (All challenges present an opportunity for us.)

While most people get told to make some changes by their doctor or they get put on some prescription drug (which can actually escalate an issue, but I won’t go there in this post!) and things might change for them, the person who is seeking to make their lives better (and uses guideposts such as the cards) can take this opportunity to check in and see what needs to change in their lifestyle and ways of thinking – aka — what belief has created this issue.

The 7♠ wants us to ask ourselves: Where am I placing my trust energy? Am I placing it 100% on a belief that is causing this issue? Or, am I 50% here and 50% there, thus dissipating my power? Am I using my full power to change my life and choose a new reality – a new me?

We might cringe when we see a 7 card in our forecast. We might look at the 7♠ and think it means we need to have faith in God. There is nothing wrong with that – the power in the belief that God will take care of you is like any other belief – it yields results based on the trust energy given to it.

The vibration of belief is unstoppable.

Living as a multidimensional being means we can take that card – that indicator of a potential challenge that is an opportunity — and choose a new reality – a new life, a new you – because you are a multidimensional being!

The Four Of Spades – Focus on Your Foundation

Today’s blog post is about the Four of Spades. I’ve included excerpts from a session we did. (italicized below).

Within this new work that I am doing now with Randi (because of what she is channeling), I’ve been asking a lot about the cards and how they can continue to help us as we move into this new way of BEing.

When reading any post about a card, you can take the information and apply it to a card draw when you use the cards for personal divination, or if you have the card in your forecast or birth spread.

“So the Spades are about a focusing of energy, and are about lifestyle, but in this particular instance we as omniscience are so general, so vast, so broad… and that is what you all are coming to understand more and more in this Age of Omniscience – that reality is contingent on a focusing. Otherwise, all things exist at all times, but how does one experience any of that? It’s simply a matter of focus and that is what you all have chosen to do in coming into human lives as these personalities.”

We’ve been ensconced in a linear way of viewing life. We needed to have the construct of “time” in order to make sense of things and to move forward.  Even Albert Einstein taught that time doesn’t exist. albert-einstein-marketingland-600x179

Everything exists at the same time.

What we do when we chose a life, experience, place, journey, personality, purpose, etc., is we focus our energy on a specific thing.

“So the four of spades is about that repeated stabilization of focus in the sense that four tends to be stability, four does tend to be equanimity, or that notion of a square; that notion of a foundational shape which one can build things on.”

The Four of Spades represents our main block of focus on that which sets up the foundation for the life/work/health we desire to have.

fourofspades_foundation

In a birth spread or forecast, when a Four of Spades shows up, it indicates that we will be satisfied and content with our work and health. It is somewhat neutral – a middle of the road- where we feel good and comfy with life.

But, let’s take this a step further-

The Four of Spades is saying: “Hone in your focus, set up your foundation, feel yourself supported by Source.”

Your dedication to building a foundation is supported by your omniscience, by the dedication to your passion. You create a routine, a structure to build upon and a focused frequency for your goal.

The Four of Spades sits at Jupiter & Venus – two very prosperous planets.

You can’t manifest your desires if you constantly change your mind and don’t stay focused long enough to allow your energy to take form. The creative 3 energy needs somewhere to focus, something to hone in on and take root.

If you have a desire or  idea, and you keep it in the back of your mind and all you do with it is think:

…it can’t be done

…I’m not ready

…this is too hard

…I don’t have the money to do this…

then you are dissipating the energy of the idea, making it impossible before it can even become possible.

The Four of Spades is necessary in order for your idea/desire to take root and become a part of your life.

Your desire becomes a focus of that particular frequency.

Once your foundation and focus is set up, then along comes the next step – we move to the 5 energy. We need change to keep us moving forward.

The downside of the 4 is in getting stuck, complacent and living in our comfy little rut.

Once we feel secure and solid (4 energy) we can become stubborn and refuse to change, expand or grow. Or, we become so focused on maintaining that stability, that we won’t allow anything new to come into our lives – which would help us to expand and grow.

We need the non-stable energies in our lives so we can stop living in reaction mode.

Think about something in your life that happens and you feel as if it was done to you  and you react. Maybe it is a family member who hits your buttons, or something in your job that keeps throwing you off, or a behavior that keeps showing up in a relationship that annoys you.  Do you just continue to react, or do you stop and realize that it is YOUR choice and you can create a different situation?

Have you excepted these situations as your foundation? (Just how things are?) or do you use this focus that the Spades represents to choose an alternative way of being that is a happier, healthy foundation for you?

When you see the Spades suit symbol, see it as that point that you direct – the energy you have 100% control over. Where are you directing it? Are you creating the foundation for your dreams and goals?

We all love to be safe, secure and stable (well…except those who are fives!), but life isn’t meant to be constant. As it is said, the only constant is change.

“We want to introduce this concept of change, even with this four because that is what it is to be focusing in a frequency. It is taking it to a point, and just when you hone in on that point, it changes again. That is what it is to be outside of time.”

In the Age of Omniscience, we are learning to live outside the limitations of time. We are also understanding that with each thing we want and experience, it is merely a focusing of frequency.

In this Age of Omniscience, that is what soul growth is!

Do you fear or dislike change? Is there an area of your life where you feel shaky or unstable? If you have a dream or goal, do you build a stable foundation for it by directing your energy?

How The Jack Of Spades Helps Us Stay Out Of The Drama

In this post, we’ll learn what the Jack Of Spades shows us about dealing with the idea of…struggle.

And, at the time of this post, we are a few days away from a New Moon in Aries…a New Moon that tells us to act in our best interest…to reinvent ourselves! (More on that at the end of the post)

The Jack cards always represent a dynamic, “young” energy.  It speaks to one having innate talents, but immaturity and a lack of self-discipline can undermine that vital “young” energy.

With the Jack of spades, the energy can be erratic and inconsistent.

The Jack of spades is a wonderful representation of….drama.

As a matter of fact, the Jack of Spades is considered to be the card of the actor.

On the show, Downton Abbey, one of Violet Crawley’s lines (played by actress Maggie Smith) is: “Why is life always a fight to the American.”

As I worked with this card, I kept wondering: Why do we (Americans) love to live in and through drama? (Did you know that America’s birth card is the Jack of Diamonds?)

Why are our troubles and hardships so important to us? It can seem that we strive to have the most woes among our friends and if our life is smooth and peaceful, well, we’re boring and viewed as either hiding something or crazy.

The crazy thing is, life isn’t meant to be hard, full of troubles or sad. The Universe is not made of woes and sorrows, the Universe is about expansion, joy and bliss (and we are innately that!)

You see this sense of wonder and joy in a small child—they have it because they’ve yet to have it taken away from them. If the Universe wasn’t about joy and wonder, babies would be born feeling sad and lonely and depressed.

We do use conflict and strife to expand. Conflict gives us contrast, so we can view something and say, “I don’t like that; I don’t want that.” We can then look for the opposite and go for that. This is a part of the Law of Polarity. The dark is not dark unless the light lets us know it‘s dark; the light is not light unless the dark lets us know it’s light.

The Jack of Spades sits in the Mars line (Mars & Uranus)

While Mars speaks about  action  and how to receive what we need to reach our goal, it also speaks to going about things differently then the traditional way of attaining something new.

There can come a point, when you feel like you have to go out and get it. A panic might set in because the idea of not concerning yourself with the how-to’s and not running around like a chicken with your head cut off in the typical “masculine” way of reaching a goal, will feel odd, maybe even scary.

So, we busy ourselves, we worry, we go back to past patterns, our friends keep asking, “Why aren’t you hustling? Why aren’t you out there pounding down doors?”

The struggle is what we seem to be so fond of. It’s like a badge of honor, proclaiming that because we are struggling so much,  we must be working really hard and our struggle surely is greater than anyone else’s struggle, which means we must be doing it better and when we reach our goal, parties and more badges will be delivered to us, cuz you know…..we walked uphill through the snow with no shoes to reach our goal!!

We love to talk about how hard things are, how many battles we’re facing to get there and as creatives, we feel even more in love with the struggle, because isn’t art about drama?

What good is a painting full of butterflies? What good is a story with no conflict? What good is a slam poem without some turmoil to raise Cain about?

struggle_IG

How can we portray real life if we don’t live in struggle, so we know about the pain?

Oh the beautiful pain…or as Dr. Smith would say on the TV show Lost in Space…”the pain…oh the pain…”

The spades suit is all about the challenges and struggles in life. They help to fine tune us, to make us wiser, stronger and with each battle, we step up.

But with a life of lawsuits over every little bad feeling; kids given prizes for no reason; pills to take away all and any pain, do we even allow challenges to uplevel us?

The Jack of spades is the drama we love, the pain we love to taut and the struggles we’d rather focus on, instead of becoming more because of our struggles.

The low side of the Jack of spades is to stay in the struggle.

If we glorify the struggle, keep talking about it, keep the struggle energy our main focus, keep our thoughts, feelings and environment pointed at the struggle, what are we accomplishing?

More struggle.

That is all.

Just more struggle.

On the flip side, the high side of the Jack of spades is about situations that act as your initiation into a new way of being. That is how to view this card. It is a reminder of those things that come along to help us become better.

We might learn about a new way of eating that makes us feel better, or take up some study that makes us more aware of our potential, or meet someone new that helps us see ourselves in a more positive way – all of those types of experiences uplevel our lives in some way and that is what the Jack of Spades represents.

Here’s the twist:  you can better yourself without the erroneous idea that it takes struggle. You can take what seems like a challenge and use it to uplevel yourself. You can have the dream job, the relationships, the home, etc., without going through the drama.

As I’m writing this, I’m going through one hell of a struggle. I know I drew this card because I needed to hear this. It sucks when it feels like life has thrown shit in our face and is laughing about it.

I’ve been angry, felt immense hurt and that my happy rug was pulled out from under me.

To be honest, I wish a handsome knight in shining armor would come sweep me up and take me into the sunset, promising all will be well.

Instead, each day, I have to face how I’m reacting.

Am I sending out a distress signal? Or, am I holding onto the truth that my non-physical, connected Self has it all under control and I just need to get out of the way and trust.

The Jack of Spades card doesn’t indicate challenges or that we will be facing struggle (like the 7 cards might), but it does indicate that what we might be going through can be a doorway to something much better. We just need to stop resisting and stop getting caught up in the struggle.

This card is a reminder of your transformation and that while it might still make you twitchy to be going about things in a new way, you WILL succeed and fulfill your desire.

Don’t glorify any struggles. Use them to point out what you don’t want to have in your life any longer, but then move forward. Don’t rehash the old stories. Don’t let your thoughts run wild with the old stories. Don’t let the low vibrations linger and keep you down. Release them.

Exercise:

When you begin to have any erratic, inconsistent thoughts, feelings or you feel panic about something that has happened to you, take the time to sit down with a pen and paper, take some deep breaths and write them out.

Get them out of your body/mind and onto paper. Fold the paper up and write on the outside:

Universe, Dept of Ego Panic

Attention: Jack

Put this folded paper away somewhere.

Now, go do something creative.

**The New Moon in Aries coming up on the 7th: What better time to reinvent yourself than this?

Many times when difficult, unexpected things come along, it gives us the perfect opportunity to do just that – to step back and see if  how we are currently living is really what we want, or is it just habitual?

This New Moon is conjunct Uranus – the planet that shakes things up and says, “Hey, you are more than you think you are, so you should really get out of your rut and go check out what that is!!“

If you’re feeling the urge to try something new or things have happened to you that seems to be forcing you to change – the energies to do that are ready for you – create that leap!

What The Six of Hearts Reveals To Us About Relationships And Karma

Today you’re going to learn what the Six of Hearts reveals to us about relationships and karma.

You’ll also learn how the seemingly awful things that happen to us (that we might call bad karma) are really not about punishment, but are there as an opportunity to change an erroneous belief.

How do you feel about the word karma?

Today’s post is on the Six of Hearts card. I’ve struggled a bit with the 6 cards as they represent the “karma” cards. I’ve adjusted my belief about karma quite a bit over the past few years.Pin_six_hearts

I don’t believe karma is a form of punishment for past actions. It’s more about the reconciling of an assigned belief from our past – or from one of our multitude of lives being lived simultaneously. (ooohhhh…shall we open Pandora’s box?!?)

Yes, I believe we live in a multi-dimensional universe. We aren’t living in a linear fashion because time is a man-made convenience. All of our lives are being lived simultaneously.

Let’s say that in one of your lives (or in earlier days of the life you are presently aware of), you were betrayed and abandoned. You decided at that point that you weren’t worthy of being loved and that no one could be trusted with your heart.

You assigned a belief about yourself and others at that point.

Because you decided that is how it would be, then you drew to you the same event, over, and over. It reinforced that belief and you decided that was how it was. Period.

Karma is then the opportunity to change the erroneous belief that has you feeling and living those negative, dark-night-of-the-soul, situations. It is these events that create our fears, anger, depression or anxieties and we carry them with us until we confront them and change them.

This is also why the 6 cards are the peace and harmony cards.

I questioned this for some time. How could the karma cards also be the peace and harmony cards? It seemed confusing to me until I fully understood that karma isn’t punishment. It isn’t some bad deed that you deserve because you were bad. (Though, we do love to look at it that way when we want another person who has hurt us to get hurt back! Right?)karma_pin

Karma is a bitch we love to say…

It is a bitch…to live with the fears and anxieties.

But, you can’t change the fears unless you realize the fears, understand that said fears are what is causing you to experience them over…and over. A belief induced fear becomes part of your vibration- sending out that signal, pulling back to you all that matches it.

The Six of Hearts is responsibility in our relationships.

All of the sixes make us take responsibility.

This is another key thing with karma. It is up to us to change how things are in our life. We have complete control, but we have to take that responsibility.

One of the ways we must do that is by realizing that no one is doing things to us – we are experiencing them because of a belief we assigned at some point. Changing that belief changes how people will treat us and the types of people constantly in our life.

When the six of hearts shows up in our yearly forecast, it gives us the opportunity to look at our relationships – at the people in our lives and how we feel about them, interact with them and how we treat them.

  • Is it how we want it to be?
  • Is there something we keep attracting because of some belief we have?
  • Are we being responsible and creating the type of relationships we want – or are we just blaming people for our difficulties?

It brings us the opportunity to create peace and harmony through our own inner changes.

six_hearts_harmony

If the Six of Hearts is your Birth card, you are the Peacemaker. You are aware of the law of love and you strive to maintain harmony and stability in your love life and family/home. Sixes don’t like a lot of change and they don’t like things to be upsetting. They can get stuck in relationships because they don’t want to rock the boat and make the necessary changes or get out.

Six of heart people have the ability to bring love into bad situations and therefore heal it.

This is the highest of what “karma” is about. Taking a fear or negative and transforming it into love.

You can’t do that by suppressing your feelings or pretending all is well. You have to realize the emotions, then transform them with the knowledge that all are worthy, all are divine and all are just wanting to be loved. AND that the belief you assigned that says you are unworthy of love is exactly that – an erroneous belief that needs to go.

Because Sixes are so keenly aware of the effect of their actions, they can be afraid to say or do anything. They are best at seeing all the angles; seeing the right in everything- which is what makes them so special (and needed!).

They help maintain balance and harmony – in others’ lives and in their environment.

If you draw a Six of hearts, ask yourself these questions:

  1. What about love is challenging you?
  2. What would you have to recognize within yourself to experience more self-love?
  3. Where has love let you down? (where and how you feel let down by love – that is an indication of an assigned erroneous belief.)
  4. What can you do to create a loving and harmonious life?
  5. Where do you need to be more responsible within your relationships?
  6. What are you tolerating in your relationships?
  7. What do you really want in your relationship?

Healthy relationships are key to our happiness. Many times it is an erroneous belief within us that consistently damages our relationships. I think it is so beautiful how this card expresses the importance of creating peace and harmony within ourselves first (by being responsible for what beliefs we hold), making the inner changes we need to make, which will then allow us to have healthy relationships – with our self and others!
