Karma cards are a very important past of the system of Cardology. We each have two Karma cards in our Birth and Ruling Spreads (with the exception of Leo’s because their birth card is also their ruling card).
I do not view the word ‘Karma’ in this situation as some do – meaning a punishment for a past wrong deed.
Karma in this system is an energy of ‘balance’…you have an abundance of experience and energetic patterns described by your second Karma card and therefore are gifted in that area and people who are that card give to you in some way.
Your first Karma card is an area that you are striving to develop and it is foreign, uncomfortable or scary to you, but you must bring it into your life. And, the people who are that card – you give to them during your life.
Below is a chart with 45 cards. Why only 45? Because there are 7 cards in the deck that are Semi-fixed or Fixed and do not move around the Spread as the other cards do – therefore they do not have Karma cards. (They are the Mystical Family of Seven) They are karma to one another.
Those cards are: K♠, J♥, 8♣, 9♥, 7♦, A♣, 2♥
Because we all move around the spread during our lives we get to feel, experience and understand all the other cards. (A GREAT way to realize how connected we all are!)
Experiencing other cards is called Displacement – and each year, you get to ‘Displace’ another card. You get to sit in it’s house and understand more about it by having experiences that are the energy of that card. If you know anyone with that card, you will in some way give to them during that year.
Our first Karma card is like a lifelong Displacement card. You will encounter situations and experiences that will propel you to become more like that card/energy. It might feel uncomfortable, or you might try to avoid it, but the more you avoid it, the harder it feels!
When you meet others who are your first Karma card, make an intentional effort to get to know them, do for them and see what they ARE that you need to BECOME.
