There are six diets that are platforms to sustain the human body into an equilibrium that is compatible with the Earth. Consider the species of fir tree that have been around for millennia and knows what nutrients they need to subsist; the pH of the water in a large sea that draws so much life to itself so that for years and years it can foster a healthy ecosystem; the animal that is born to a natural habitat with all the wealth of nourishment in its cells and DNA, and the mammals that receive it from their mother’s milk. So do you have this information in your very being, a blueprint of intelligence that is your body.
Just like the mother’s body knows what nutrients to create for her child (the whale’s milk will have a different recipe than the aardvark’s), so does your body tend toward one of these six diets below. They are general categories the way your race, your gender, your ancestry give you general categories. You are unique, and especially if you have lived a long time eating foods that are non-optimal, you may have to spend some time allowing for the body to bring itself back into balance according to what it prescribes.
As you bring your awareness to the intelligence of your body, you’ll phase into realms of connection that will feel natural. Just as the fir tree, the sea, the whale and the aardvark know the habitat and social structure in which they exist, this work will encourage your natural tendencies and gifts into offerings. You no longer will just be concerned with how sustainable you are, but your home as an extension of you. This covers the first three phases, and they correspond with courses available if you choose to continue to work with the aligning of your heart, mind, body and Earth consciousness.
1. LPRT : Lentils | Pure Water | Rice | Tea
This diet is what we would call the “lightest” in terms of the body needing less-dense foods to feel a sense of energy and vitality. We do not condone a sense of hierarchy here as far as “oh, well, this is the diet I want to be then, because I want to lighten…” This comes with it judgement that the denser diets are worse. The body is a miracle of matter, and in a sense, is lightening just from the attention you give it as far as your Sustainable Diet and optimal foods.
You may tend towards being vegetarian or do not crave heavier meats. Still, you may want or be happy with eating fish. You might experience a sensitivity towards toxins that the pure water is required to flush out. Because the body is designed to get more energy from lighter foods, the herbs in tea go a ways to offer nutrients and chemical adjustments to the cells.
Because the LPRT body is sensitive to toxins stored in the body, often the cleanse is the body asking for minimal foods so that it can work on flushing in the reset, which accommodates the reintroduction of optimal foods after the cleanse. The metabolism is then primed to gain a multitude of energy from the lightness of a diet.
This diet (and 3 others) features lentils as a staple. The LPRT body is particularly adept at detoxifying and balancing the body’s chemistry with the use of the mineral molybdenum found in lentils. Brown or “whole” rice is an important component of the diet to provide detoxifying and cell-rejuvenating components as well: primarily as the chemical compound squalene. Again, this is a body that works continually to purify with water, tea and food.
Recommended Water Consumption: 48oz/day
Recommended Tea Consumption: 32oz/day
You are learning that the richer foods (such as avocado, coconut, nuts, sunflower seeds, chocolate, etc) are the heavier components of this diet and will sustain you for some time between meals. The component of air that is this diet connects you to a sense of travel and companionship that you may find yourself desiring as you phase. You might find yourself less inclined to gorge at social events, but eat lightly beforehand and become an expert sampler of those things that are optimal for you.
Letting go of obligation that adheres you is important in this phase. You are light and accessing the qualities of wind, cloud, and unattachment. Therefore, the body will begin requesting some adjustments to even the optimal foods on your list to further cleanse. Toxins or artificial components of food will manifest as disagreements in the body so that you may not be able to ignore them any longer. Keep up with the habit of pure water and tea, as it will assist.
Just as the air temperature will fluctuate throughout a day, so does the body in its desires to heal itself, utilizing its natural inclination of shifting. If you have been losing or gaining weight, the pattern may continue as your body type enjoys fleshing out or down according to the seasons or your mental, emotional or physical needs. Pay attention to your cravings; they exist for a reason.
Let the now be your fixture and practice grounding as your lightness creates an experience of empathy that you may have not felt before.
The body is now a component of connection as the imagination, as the dream, as the desire. You are finding your body is accommodating your desires to stretch in this physical reality, so that healing is not taking years or external prognosis, but rather a shift in diet or taking on or nurturing a practice of yoga, meditation, dance, journeying, dreamwork, or whatever truly moves you. The body is designed for travel with the lightness of a breeze, and to foster that ability to journey far in the realms of the non-physical, it requires refining always.
The integration of mind, body, heart and spirit is a daily practice so that your food is you, and you are the connection of your food. Let the imagination that is ripening along with your body in purity take you through the paths of where your food arrived from. You’ll notice the intricate details of farmer, transportation, market–fingerprints of energy that your body gifts back to the web of life.
Again, the attention on seasons and/or temperatures are registered at the cellular level. Appreciate the body’s barometer as it accommodates, as if it were a natural chameleon. At this point, you may find your ability to be a strong empath may give you more weight or you may find it manifesting bodily. Practice awareness of what is the energy that you as an individual are processing, and the energy that you as omniscience are helping others to move. The wind can be a pleasant puff or a hurricane of destruction. You are learning to be aware of what your lightness brings, as a vehicle of energy to stir up life.
As we lighten even more (coming into Phases 4 & 5), there will be a sense that less food is required so that large or incredibly rich meals will be distressing to the system. In this phase, pay attention to the amount you are desiring for a meal, and snacking might be the thing to prescribe for a “low-energy” moment. Check in with the body about portions as you prepare them, as the one you were satisfied with yesterday may not be the one that is required for today.
You are equipped to receive energy from sources other than food, such as the sun, the wind, Earth energy, and companionship. As you phase further, food becomes less of a necessity, but awareness of energetic elements elsewhere will become more of a priority and request from the body.
2. LOMR : Lentils | Olives | Mushrooms | Roots
This diet is light still, requiring again a plethora of vegetables for optimal health, though the tendency is also towards natural fats such as those found in olives. Though roots are a staple of this diet, your body maintains a delicate balance while consuming the carbohydrates in vegetables. If you eat too much processed carbohydrates such as breads, cereals, and gluten-based products, the hormonal equilibrium is thrown off. Often, this diet is recommended to be gluten-free, especially in a cleanse, to allow the cells to “remember” what it is to process natural sugars found in root vegetables rather than the ones in starchy man-made products.
The composition of this diet requires a deep connection to the Earth. Imagine having to dig for foodstuffs and hunt for fecund mushrooms as a staple. There is a delight for the LOMR body to connect sensually to Earth-based foods that again, highly refined man-made products do not satisfy.
Often this diet thrives with gardeners or hikers that enjoy scavenging for food. Notice how much energy comes to you as you consume these foods, but also how much comes from time spent in nature: the smells of it, the textures, the tastes.
Like the RBMO diet, olives are a staple because of the oleuropein component, which keeps the body chemistry balanced and the cells thriving. This is assisted by the mineral molybdenum found in lentils, which are staples for three other diets. The cell-rejuvenating and overall beneficial compound of squalene is extracted from olives, whereas other diets rely on brown rice. The LPRT and MPLR diets highly depend on pure water to purify (with the elements air and water), the LOMR body tends to use the Earth to keep balanced rather than liquids.
Recommended Water Consumption: 12oz/day
You may be learning to let go of old habits and external recommendations. There is an Earth-based rhythm to your cravings that attaches this diet to the seasons in a very natural and necessary way. Therefore, you may find yourself dismissing eggnog if you are in the Southern Hemisphere during the winter holidays. Your body may prefer what is natural and override the cultural habits of indulging for emotional or social comforts.
The seasonal inclination may bring you into a more intimate desire to grow your food, or partner with a farmers market or take courses on how to find food on a hike or forage even in your own neighborhood. There is a tendency in the body to know how to find food as it grows in its natural habitat and as you phase, you will find yourself gaining tremendous amounts of energy in the collecting of food as well as consuming it.
You are remembering that you are the producer of your own fruit as a tree understands the seasonal cue to create blossom and then succulence. Your empathic abilities are very Earth-based, but a cultivated awareness of how you relate to others within your social eco-system will keep you balanced. Indulgence may be shifting from old habits or behaviors that were rooted in certain types of foods (sugar or traditional-based), to that which has most recently fallen from a branch or been dug from the Earth. There you may find comfort that satisfies so many cravings.
Your body may now be ready to connect to the consciousness of Gaia, in the sense that the Earth is not isolated to the physical anymore. You are ingesting the emotional and heart energy of the food that you eat, which is a gift of empathy to these body types. You are becoming more sensitive to toxins and abuses of mass-produced food born of injustices, so that you may suffer physical discomforts from the energetic blueprint of a distressed foodstuff. You may find yourself highly dissatisfied with processed food that have recently spent more time in a machine than out in the sunlight and rain and fellow plants/animals.
This quality, however, can be utilized as you phase into a sort of “medicine-seeker” ability within your social circles. As you phase further, you have a choice to hone this ability to ingest or taste food and know whether it carries disease or discomfort for others. There are ways to protect you from experiencing the harm it may carry. Your empathy for the Earth can be cultivated into a creator of medicines for yourself or others that are seeking the power and energy of Gaia’s consciousness as much as it is present for physical energy from food.
3. PRDT : Potatoes | Roots | Dark Chocolate | Tea
Many of the modern-day, western culture are jealous of those who embody this diet–so much of your current research has dictated the carbs of potatoes and other root vegetables as bad for the body. For many constitutions, this may be true, but the PRDT body can thrive on them once it has reset to process nutrition from food as it was designed to do.
This does not mean potato chips and french fries. In fact, the fats that are required in this diet are best ingested in whole form, meaning olives rather than olive oil, or cod rather than cod-liver oil. Again, there is a desire of the body to process foods in bulk, the skin of the root vegetable and the whole of the natural water it contains rather than boiling potatoes and mashing them into an unrecognizable pulp. (The potato skin contains much of the potassium content, even more than the revered potassium-rich banana.)
There is a chemical in potatoes called kukoamine, that is of particular assistance to the PRDT body in regulating metabolism and the efficiency of creating high energy from dense foods.
Your body is designed to break down these natural sugars and carbs like a backhoe is designed to take great scoops of earth to dig deep. You may find satisfaction eating with your hands rather than a delicate spoon.
Because of the “bulk” processing these bodies are equipped to do, the liquid content of tea is necessary to keep the body hydrated. We still recommend drinking pure water, but the herbal content of tea assists with some vital nutrients to keep the body’s chemistry balanced. This is also true of dark chocolate as it contains significant portions of manganese to help process the “heavier” starch-based loads of energy your body consumes. Do not fear natural, unrefined carbohydrates, rather revel in the way your body can handle them with an efficiency of insulin reactions. Delight in those denser, vegetable-based foods.
So what do potatoes look like in optimal form? Raw, roasted, or baked. Eat chunkier versions of your potatoes and root vegetables and see how you enjoy them. The sugars are then taken care of properly and the energy is given back ten-fold.
Recommended Water Consumption: 18oz/day
Recommended Tea Consumption: 18oz/day
The PRDT body is able to break down denser foods with an efficiency much like the Earth’s process of erosion. A red-rock canyon is eventually turned into a sparkling beach of sand. So is the precision of your body to take those things that are often “too dense” for others and make them accessible.
As you phase, you may find this ability is strengthened in other areas of your life. You are a magnet for those who are needing to feel grounded, in that you draw those who are needing help sorting and processing confusing, negative, or depressed feelings. As you rely on your body to break things down and turn it into expansive and light energy, so you may provide that for others in the realm of assisting them with their emotional or mental densities that are distressing or that they desire to be broken up and lightened.
In this phase, you are finding this ability within yourself first. Connecting to your dreams may help. You may find that you are wanting to use this with upward momentum towards goals and achievements that you are desiring: no matter what obstacles may appear in your path, know that you are able to dissect and dissolve them. Especially if you seek a connection to Earth/Gaia as assistance. Patience is a real virtue here as well, as the Earth energy that you utilize in breaking down your food does not create magic instantly. Rather, it harnesses time and a pace that is soulful, long-lasting and seemingly permanent in an otherwise fast-paced world.
Do not shy from “heavy things” as they may be just the thing that you find joy in dissecting or dissolving. There is a greater societal role this plays into if you choose to accept and phase with it further.
The richness of your kingdom does not just exist in chocolate. Rather, you are a key factor in rebuilding and reshaping for yourself and your community those challenges that one phases through that are rooted in duality. For example, while the linear focus has been dense/light, narrow/expansive, challenge/ease–you are learning to come to the center in the process of moving through them. Instead of such a large focus on the starting point and the endpoint (i.e. potato & energy), you may be coming into awareness of the process itself. The journey rather than the destination.
You may find that you are still pivotal in being a rock that turns into sand for others, but now there is an appreciation of each gust of wind or each drop of rain that does the turning. Your body will continue to refine in this way so that you may have further shifts in your optimal diet and are more geared to healing afflictions. As compared to other bodies, yours may feel rather stable, but the body will tell you if you’ve taken the role of stabilizer too much to one side (feelings of having to constantly be the hero or martyr). Pay attention to how the body feels, as it will tell you if you have slipped into a habit of using your gifts of diffusion to the detriment of balance.
You may find yourself inspired to deal directly with rebuilding efforts. Whether they are psychologically, dream, or mentally-based, you have the ability again to break down those constructs or obstructions to a more connected and shared reality. You have the ability to wield Earth energy; it will always support you. There is much you can do to use these gifts for the larger community and human race.
4. MPLR : Mushrooms | Pure Water | Lentils | Roots
This diet is fixated on water and the emotional center water is attributed to. It echoes that of the first diet (LPRT), in that the lightness of the body comes with water consumption. This means that if you have little to eat, you might survive a bit longer than others as long as you’re hydrated consistently and with pure water.
Again, you may do well on a vegetarian diet; you’re naturally equipped to process root vegetables and roots used in tinctures and teas, but the MPLR body may become easily unbalanced with processed carbs such as breads, cereals, refined sugars, and other man-made products
The MPLR body responds incredibly well to the flushing properties of water. If ever you contract a virus, the old adage “drink lots of fluids” are particularly apt. This can be extended to baths, or time spent by a fountain or by the nurturing presence of the sea. An affinity to the moon by association is also common.
Because the MPLR diet utilizes the life-giving properties of water, it is balanced by the need for the life sprung from decomposition, such as mushrooms. Often bacteria in yeasts or fermented foods and beverages are desired and easily received by the MPLR body.
Like the three other diets that feature lentils as a staple, the MPLR body is particularly adept at detoxifying and balancing the body’s chemistry with the use of the the mineral molybdenum found in lentils. Again, this is a body that works continually to purify, with water and food.
As you are thriving on water, ensure that you do not drink too much of it with a meal. The body utilizes water best on an empty stomach, and you will find your energy soaring as you drink as much as the stomach is comfy with 30 minutes before a meal, and then an hour after the meal is consumed.
Recommended Water Consumption: 48oz/day
Recommended Tea Consumption: 12oz/day
The MPLR constitution facilitates movement and fluctuation naturally. This can bleed over into goals and manifestation, so that when a desire is born, it may shift and flow into unexpected areas as it is created. This is also a trait that you may hold within your work or social circles, a natural empathy that makes you comfortable in many walks of life.
Often, you may feel that it’s easy to “go with the flow” or practice the chameleon aspect of holding space in a situation, as water takes the shape of its container. As you phase, the body will continue to detox and you will learn to differentiate your body versus afflictions or elations from other bodies, as your empathy may be able to manifest these in your body. But with this is a gift that can be harnessed as explored further as you phase, drawing out or diluting toxins in a myriad of situations. More explanation in the other phases, but in this one it is important to check in with the body and ask what you are holding as your own “toxin” to purify, and what you may have subconsciously drawn in to help others. (Think pollutants that enter a waterway. They are less potent than their original form, but they still change the ecosystem of the body of water.)
As you purify further in your body and become more aware of mental, emotional and physical energy, you may be learning in this Phase to be a conduit for energy to process, in the way that the body creates life from death (or decomposing foods). Keeping a keen practice that you aren’t “holding” an energy that you help to process is important.
In this phase, you may be accessing natural tendencies toward the creative and imaginative. You may find yourself able to channel energy not just to purify it, but to flesh it out from the non-physical and allow for it to be versatile before the more Earth-energies bring it into physical form. You may enjoy a societal role as an “incubator” of ideas and may channel larger concepts easily, but feel that it is not your job to enact them.
Your natural abilities to “hold space” become paramount as you work with others in this phase. There again is importance in staying centered so that the drama of duality does not prompt you to keep toxins in your physical, emotional or mental sphere. The more you can clear and release them as something that is purified to its essence according to the goal or experience of the energy, the more it will keep you feeling full of energy and excitement in your role. You will know what this is as you connect to your body and wholeness of being.
You may find yourself inclined to be, or bolster your role as, a storyteller and/or healer in the way of moving energy, such as Reiki, yoga, or swimming/practices within water.
Remember that you need not be a container permanently for those things that you help to move, but that you cycle energy in and out, as water does within the earth. Even the deepest pools and oceans have currents of life that defy stagnation.
5. RBLM : Rice | Butter | Lentils | Meat
Like the MPLR diet, your constitution uses the element of water to maintain balance and vitality. However, your constitution is able to protract water with a precision that likened to a lizard in a desert, or a camel storing it in the hump. Though we recommend you stay hydrated, you will find that your energy comes from things that are less diluted and you may have a tendency not to like, or find that, watery fruits or vegetables are non-optimal. You are tuned to be able to extract water from dense foods such as meat and butter.
If you are a vegetarian, you might find it difficult to maintain energy with this diet, as the protein your body desires is based on animal substance. That does not mean it cannot be done, but it may take some care and serious conversations with your body and how it is able to prescribe such a balance to keep you well and vital.
Like the three other diets that feature lentils as a staple, the RBLM body is particularly adept at detoxifying and balancing the body’s chemistry with the use of the the mineral molybdenum found in lentils. Also like the LPRT diet, brown or “whole” rice is an important component of the diet to provide detoxifying and cell-rejuvenating components: primarily as the chemical compound squalene. For you, the fact that rice is born from water has an energetic effect on the body and the way it extracts nutrients.
To many, your diet is a dream. You are tuned to be able to take the richness of animal fat and turn it into bounds of energy. This often means that if there has been a habit of imbibing in starchy vegetables or “liquid carbs” such as sugary drinks, beer, or coffee or tea (especially sweetened), the body has a hard time processing the excess and can cause weight gain or mood imbalances. Try allowing for the richness of meat, butter, and other such animal-based products that are optimal to be the source of your energy.
Like a lizard or desert creature that knows what it is to take energy from small or scarce things, so might you have a talent for seeing the great worth of what others might consider a small or unobvious thing. It is a gift, from the body’s chemistry to perhaps your personality. Explore it or just observe how this might be true for you, especially as you reset and restore your body to its original blueprint.
Recommended Water Consumption: 24oz/day
In the second phase of extending the Sustainable Body to vitality in other areas of your life, see how this “extracting much from a little” quality manifests. As you set goals and balance in these other areas, perhaps you find that what you are wanting is not particularly lofty, but rather practical, approachable and bite-sized. You may find you are satiated with progress as you gain a lot from small actions or successes.
You are rooted in water and the flow, though not torrential as it is for the MPLR diet, you bring this energy of creativity and sensuality to social situations. Your imagination can be rich in the face of deficit, again, you have the quality of finding the silver-lining in dire situations as you reset to the design of your body. This can propel you to experiencing abundance in the NOW, not needing excess of anything to provide you happiness or satisfaction.
As you explore this, remember that there is a basic instinct of extraction, finding the seed of truth that simply needs a home to flourish. As water binds, creates, and collides with so many elements, so may you collaborate well with others and assist them in realizing the kernel of truth in an otherwise complicated or complex situation. Like a creature of the desert, you can find the cornerstone of your habitat to gather sunlight or insight upon, and often this makes you a fine leader or centered person of composure and fortitude in the midst of chaos or complication.
Your work may be to stay grounded and centered, as the water nature in you may be tempted to hold too much and be the martyr in your empathy. Find the kernel of wisdom or poignancy that you may excel at, and let it then be done. Pay attention to your own kernels or cornerstones of what is important for you and for your role in society and your environment.
As you phase, your desert will be filled with new life, as in the flow of time most deserts have typically been rich seas. You may be finding solace in that integration of finding the serenity amongst the drama of duality, and your role as a leader or delegator of projects may become more prevalent. As more voices are heard and social constructs evolve to include them, often the RBLM body will be beautifully equipped to reflect the importance of them all while placing emphasis on practical projects as they are needing to be achieved.
The water element of your psyche will balance out the practicality with perhaps a renewed relationship with emotion and creativity. You will find these two abilities coincide well together, without having to “shift gears” as one might have experienced in the linear framework of Phase 2.
Find the balance between the richness of the Earth and transient qualities of water and you will most likely find solace. No challenge is too great to pare down to the epitome of a moment. Continue practicing patience, centering, and appreciation of all around you, while reassuring others that the work that is nicely aligned to be done is getting done.
6. RBMO : Roots | Butter | Meat | Olives
Your body does well under heat, as the element of fire can be transformative for you. This is the “densest” diet of the six, and as the RBLM diet can transform life from little water, so does this diet thrive on cooked or spicy foods.
The body again is tuned to be able to create energy from protein and plant-based nutrients such as the oleuropein in olives. Olives are a staple not only for the fats they provide in this fat-happy diet, but because of the oleuropein component, which keeps the body chemistry balanced and the cells thriving. The cell-rejuvenating and overall beneficial compound of squalene is also extracted from olives, whereas other diets rely on brown rice and other foods for this nutrient.
Yes, this tends to be the carnivore/meat-lovers diet, but the body cannot be fully sustainable without the inclusion of vegetables. The vegetable content of root vegetables is an adequate amount of water and fiber (eat the skin!) and because this body is suited to thrive on denser foods, it delights in the job of using water from root vegetables for balance. Again, this does not mean you don’t need any water, but it also means that if you were stranded, you would do well without water, or extracting water from denser foods that you were served. There is a precision there of extracting water from animal protein-based foods and root vegetables especially.
Fats are essential for this body type, and if not enough are consumed you might have found that you cannot be satiated by low-fat foods and refined sugars and carbs.
Your body literally works with heat. You may enjoy hot baths, saunas or steam rooms, circles or ceremonies over/around a bonfire, etc. You most likely enjoy the fire of creative production, aerobic exercise and foods that are cooked over an open flame. Your body has the knowing from ancient humanity who survived on animal food and harnessed the transformative powers of flame.
(Again if you are a vegan or vegetarian with this body type, you may find your optimal foods would need to be very precise in substitutions in order to thrive!)
Recommended Water Consumption: 16oz/day
As you phase, the opportunity to learn how to apply your fervor or “heat” will be more apparent. You may be a natural cheerleader or force to propel yourself and/or others forward. As you are setting and creating goals in this phase, you may find that the power of your faith is something to rely on for yourself and those around you.
Again, naturally there exists an ancient wisdom of fire and energy within you. Use it as you apply it to mental approaches and to purify an emotional situation to the core. The purification and renewal properties of your personality are similar to the RBLM constitution–where there is an ending, a beginning is always available.
Work with this concept as you move through your goals. You may find that in working with fire and the blazing properties of action, decisiveness, and total trust in what you are going through will bring about a swifter close of a situation and present a new one. New life always springs from the ashes.
You are also a great connector of all the elements, as fire needs Earth for tinder, air for combustion, and water to stay balanced. There may be an integrative component to your personality or worldview in that you are naturally inclusive or appreciative of many perspectives. Your empathy in this case allows for many to seek guidance from you on how to move forward, or how to cope amongst what may appear to be destructive or harmful situations. The more you foster your awareness of those open doors and new seeds of life that result afterwards, the more you can wield perhaps a natural ability to help others to discover what that may be for them.
In this phase that is concentrated more on the achievement of integration, or the center, you may find yourself as the great chameleon of momentum in society or your experiences. Fire is a faster, more potent form of transformation, and as you are becoming fully aware of and practicing transformation in your life, you may find yourself a sage or spiritual leader for those that are desiring direction or insight or fuel for their own transformations.
If you are choosing, you may be a scribe or creative contributor of the greater and overarching metamorphosis that is happening on a global scale. A fire in nature is rarely contained to a small area, rather it will consume great swaths of energy and then give it back exponentially as a new experience.
Again, you are gifted in empathy with the natural tendency to take on many qualities or elements of others, so practice care in cultivating what your unique contribution to a situation may be. That individuality that you claim may not be permanent, because again you are constantly closing old doors and walking through new ones. Even in this integrated and “centered” perspective, you are perhaps now seeing both the closed and opening doors simultaneously. This is a trait that solidifies and becomes more of rote reality as you phase further (into 4 & 5).
Certainly in these later phases, but most likely even in this one, you are the Phoenix, the ashes, and the rising. Take credit and assist others in the ways that you move energy, as a great and vital force of nature.
